Siapo Patterns

We have started creating our own Siapo/Tapa patterns (a decorative art and symbol of Samoan culture). We are in the early stages of drafting and experimenting with the different patterns. Stay tuned to see the finished product...

Cross Country

We had the most AMAZING weather on Friday for the Junior School Cross Country. Everyone ran their little hearts out and did themselves proud. Hugo finished 2nd in the Year 2 boys and Sasha finished 2nd in the Year 2 girls.

Inquiry Learning

Who am I? Who are you? Who are we?

We are well into our inquiry topic where the children are learning about different countries and cultures from around the world.

The below map shows where our family comes from as well as some of the countries we have been.

We have also thought about some of the different communities that we belong to and have made 'community cubes'.

As we progress through the term we are going to be studying different countries. We have 'shoebox suitcases' to keep items in that are significant to the countries that we have studied.
